1. Who we are
This website, sloptions.xyz, is operated by SL Options, a business registered in Sri Lanka (Business Registration No. 261006017, registered 6 October 2026), whose principal place of business is 119, Regency Park, Ranapanadeniya, Rathgama, Sri Lanka. In this policy, “SL Options”, “we” and “us” mean that business. For the personal data described below we are the controller.
This policy covers our company website, enquiries and business relationships. Each SL Options software product (for example BuildHire, Voxora and Ubiq Editor) has its own privacy policy, which applies to that product.
2. Personal data we collect
- Enquiry and contact data: your name, email address, phone number, organisation, the service you are interested in, and anything you tell us by the website form, email, phone or social media.
- Client and project data: information needed to quote, contract, deliver and invoice work, such as business contact details, billing details and project communications.
- Business relationship data: details of suppliers, partners and advisers we work with.
- Technical data: basic information your browser sends to our hosting provider when you visit, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, used for security and reliability.
The website’s contact form opens a ready-written email in your own mail application. The site itself does not store what you type. If we later switch to a form-processing service, we will update this policy first.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell personal data.
3. How and why we use personal data
- To respond to enquiries and provide quotations or proposals.
- To perform contracts, deliver services, provide support and issue invoices.
- To keep our website and systems secure and working.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- To send information about our products and services where you have asked for it or the law allows, with an easy way to opt out.
We process personal data on lawful grounds: your consent, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in running and securing our business, as permitted by the Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022 of Sri Lanka and other applicable law.
4. Who we share personal data with
We share personal data only where needed, and only with:
- service providers that help us operate (for example website hosting, email, cloud storage, accounting and payment services), under suitable confidentiality and security terms;
- professional advisers such as lawyers, auditors and accountants;
- authorities, where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data.
5. International transfers
We work with clients worldwide and use cloud services whose servers may be outside Sri Lanka. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to make sure it stays protected as the law requires.
6. How long we keep personal data
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 24 months. Client and financial records are kept for the period required by law and tax rules.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, encryption in transit and secure hosting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Where the law requires, we will notify affected people and the authorities of a personal data breach.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to confirm whether we hold your personal data, give you a copy, correct inaccurate data, delete data we no longer need, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Write to info.sloptions@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before we respond. You may also complain to the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka.
9. Children
Our website and services are directed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through this website.
10. Links to other sites
This website links to other sites, such as LinkedIn, Facebook and our product websites. Their privacy practices are their own, and each SL Options product is governed by its own privacy policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The latest version will always be on this page with its effective date, and we will highlight material changes.
